Santa Clara Ruins
The ethereal beauty of 18th-century colonial ruins meets the timeless romance of Antigua. Beneath the shadow of majestic volcanoes, the ruins of Santa Clara offer a breathtaking, cinematic backdrop for our vows, where every arch echoes with the elegance of centuries past.
Our Story
How We Met
It began as a chance encounter that felt like destiny. A rainy afternoon in SoHo led to a three-hour coffee conversation that never truly ended. In the heart of the city, Jonathan and Raquel found a connection that would soon span continents.
The Proposal
Beneath the golden hues of an Italian sunset, Jonathan asked the question that changed everything. On the tranquil waters of Lake Como, surrounded by mountain peaks and timeless elegance, she said yes, starting their grand adventure.
Why Guatemala
Choosing Antigua was an easy decision. BetweenJonathan's roots and the breathtaking historic charm of the ruins, this magical city offers a backdrop as enduring as our commitment. We are thrilled to share this destination with our favorite people.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the requested dress code?
The wedding is Black-Tie Optional. We recommend elegant evening wear: floor-length gowns for women and suits or tuxedos for men. Please note that Antigua's cobblestone streets are charming but uneven, so block heels or wedges are highly encouraged.
What will the weather be like in Antigua?
April in Antigua is truly magical. Expect bright blue skies and pleasant temperatures around 75°F during the day. As the sun sets over the ruins, temperatures can drop to a crisp 60°F, so a shawl or light jacket is recommended for the evening festivities.
Do I need a visa or specific travel documents?
A valid passport with at least six months of validity remaining is required for entry into Guatemala. Citizens of the US, UK, and EU typically do not need a visa for stays under 90 days. Please ensure you also complete any electronic customs forms required before arrival.
Are children invited to the wedding events?
To allow all our guests a night of complete relaxation and luxury, we have chosen for our ceremony and reception to be an adults-only celebration. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you.
What currency is used in Guatemala?
The official currency is the Guatemalan Quetzal (GTQ). While major hotels and restaurants in Antigua accept international credit cards, it is helpful to have local cash for shopping at artisanal markets and for tipping. ATMs are readily available throughout the city.
How do I get to Santa Clara Ruins for the wedding?
We will be arranging private shuttle service to and from the Santa Clara Ruins from our three partner hotels: Casa Santo Domingo, Porta Hotel Antigua, and El Convento. Detailed shuttle schedules will be provided in your welcome bags upon arrival.
